The climate is a feature causative to the financial system of Punjab. It is not consistent over the entire county, the sections contiguous to the Himalayas getting heavier rainfall than those at aloofness.

 

There are 3 major seasons and 2 intermediary periods. The midway era after the monsoon is chilly and gentle, foremost to the Winter Season, when the temperature in January cascades to 5˚C at night and 12˚C by daytime.

 

All through the intermediary period from winter to summers rapid hailstorms and grave showers may take place, causing harm to the crops.
