However, the best time to view it in India will be on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, just after sunset, between 7:15 PM and 8:00 PM IST. This is when the moon will be rising in the southeastern sky, appearing large, low, and often with a golden-orange hue due to atmospheric filtering.

If you are residing in the US, the Strawberry Moon in 2025 will reach its peak illumination on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 3:44 AM EDT.

However, for the best viewing experience from the US, you'll want to look for it on the evening of Tuesday, June 10, 2025, just after sunset. This is when the moon will be rising in the southeastern sky, appearing larger and with a beautiful golden-orange hue.

The other names for the June full moon are Blooming Moon, Green Corn Moon, Hoer Moon, Birth Moon, Egg Laying Moon and Hatching Moon, among others. 

This year's Strawberry Moon is particularly special, as it's the lowest full moon in nearly 20 years, due to a rare celestial event called a "major lunar standstill". This phenomenon, which happens only once every 18.6 years, makes the moon appear larger and more golden as it hugs the horizon.  It will be the lowest full moon you'll see until 2043.
