The International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed Tavengwa Mukuhlani as its new Deputy Chairperson for a term running until November 2027. Mukuhlani who leads Zimbabwe Cricket, takes over from Singapore’s Imran Khwaja following Khwaja's exit from the ICC board.
This appointment marks the first time a Zimbabwean administrator has filled the ICC Deputy Chair role.

The ICC Board of Directors has elected Mukuhlani who will serve along with Jay Shah in managing international cricket activities. What is Tavengwa Mukuhlani's Career History?
Before engaging himself in any activities of an international nature in the realm of sports, Mukuhlani had already established himself in the health sector. He is a pharmacist by training from India and used to have a pharmaceutical practice in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
His entry into the management of the sport came in the early 2000s through Mashonaland Cricket Association.
Mukuhlani entered the national board of cricket of Zimbabwe in 2003 as Vice-Chairman, before taking up the position of Chairman in August 2015.
