
The National Testing Agency (NTA) had released the results for the JEE Main 2019 examination on April 29, 2019. Data analysis of the JEE Main result showcases that a total of 6094 students of the total 21,229 Kendriya Vidyalaya students who appeared for the JEE Main 2019 examination have qualified for JEE Advanced 2019. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is conducted for admission to some of the top colleges in the country such as the IITs and the NITs. JEE Exams are conducted for admitting students to the different courses offered by these institutes in the field of Science, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology.
Narmin Kauser, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysore has achieved the highest percentile (99.98 percentile) among the KV students who have qualified for JEE Advanced. The second position has been bagged by Abhijit Mishra, a student of KV ONGC, Surat with 99.95 percentile. At the third position was Adit Akarsh with 99.93 percentile. He is a student of KV IIT, Powai, Mumbai. This year around 11,47,125 Unique candidates had appeared for the JEE Main entrance examination in January and April and of these, a total of 2,45,195 students have qualified to b eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
At present, there are around 1204 Kendriya Vidyalayas functioning in the country with three of them being run in the embassies of Tehran, Kathmandu and Moscow. These KVs contribute to the education of over 12.75 lakh students. This year, KVS students have also delivered the highest ever result in the CBSE Class 12th examination with an overall pass percentage of 98.54. Also, KVS has topped the category of all institutions for the second consecutive year.
