According to media reports, the Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Adimulapu Suresh has stated that all the CET examinations to be conducted have been postponed. The revised dates for the entrance examinations will be announced by the state council later. The education minister said that the decision to postpone the exams was taken as per the directions of the State Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy.
Reports state that the education minister also added that the examinations will be conducted in the third week of September 2020. According to the state education minister, the state Chief minister after conducting a review of the situation said that the CET examinations have been postponed and have been decided to be conducted from the third week of September 2020.
The list of examinations which have been postponed includes, AP EAMCET, AP ECET, AP ICET, AP PGECET, AP EDCET, AP LAWCET, and AP PECET.
The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education conducts the entrance examinations for the admissions to the different professional courses offered at the universities and colleges in the state.
The education minister pointed out that many of the national level entrance examinations have also been postponed by the conducting bodies due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the country. The Entrance examinations are usually conducted in the month of May but have been postponed ever since due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed since March 2020. Candidates who have registered for the different entrance examinations can visit the official website of APSCHE to get further details related to the entrance examinations.
The APSCHE recently opened the application correction facility for the AP PGECET 2020 entrance examinations. The last date to make the corrections in the Category 2 of the application forms was July 13, 2020.
