The Central Universities Common Entrance Test is conducted for the admissions to the various participating Central Universities in the country. The CUCET Examinations are conducted by the National Testing Agency annually for the admissions to the various undergraduate, postgraduate, and integrated programmes offered.
From 2022 the list of participating universities or the universities accepting the CUCET 2022 scores for admissions will be higher with a few more universities added to the list. In 2021, the number of participating universities for CUCET was 12. With Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University approving the CUCET entrance exams for admissions the list has now increased to 14.
Delhi University conducts admissions for a majority of its undergraduate programmes based on the merit of the students while the admissions to a few of the UG and PG course admissions were conducted through DUET conducted by the NTA until 2021.
Jawaharlal Nehru University also conducts the admissions via the JNUEE entrance tests conducted by the National Testing Agency.
