Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has stated that the pass percentage of Delhi government school students has increased from 98 percent to 99 percent in CBSE class 12 examinations after the declaration of the compartmental examinations.
The Deputy CM in a statement released congratulated the Delhi Government school students, teachers, and parents for achieving a 99 per cent pass percentage in the CBSE class 12 exams after the compartment examinations and 93 per cent pass percentage in the class 10 examinations.
Increase percentage
The CBSE class 12 compartment exam results have shown an improvement from 98 percent to 99 percent while the class 10 examination results show a pass percentage from 83 to 93 percent. The Deputy CM further stated that the impact of the increase in the pass percentage will not only help the students finishing their schools but also go to the next grade. The increase in the pass percentage has also made a difference in the lives of 16,864 students who move to the next grade this year itself.
The CBSE conducted the class 10 and 12 compartment examinations on September 22, 2020, at the 1,268 examination centres across the country amidst the COVID-19 pandemic and the guidelines issued for conducting the examinations.
The board also provided a chance to the class 12 students to appear for the exams in case they were unsatisfied with the marks awarded based on the alternate assessment scheme set by the board keeping in mind the pandemic and lockdown which forced the board to cancel the exams.
