DU Admissions 2022: As per the media reports, Ditching the old cut-off list system, Delhi University has decided to have CUCET on lines of National Testing Agency (NTA) for admitting students. To facilitate this smooth transition in the admissions process, Delhi University has formed an 8 member panel for the implementation of this entrance test.
The committee is headed by DU Registrar Vikas Gupta with Dean (Examinations) DS Rawat serving as its convenor. CUCET for DU Admissions 2022 is now under formulation, things with regards to its implementation are being discussed.
DU Admissions 2022 NTA Coordination Committee
Professors Haneet Gandhi, Dean (Admissions), Sanjeev Singh, Joint Dean(Admissions), Ajay Jaiswal, Joint Dean (Admissions), Pankaj Arora, Dean, Students' Welfare, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa college principal Jaswinder Singh and Admission Branch official OP Sharma are the other members of the panel. Mr. Sharma is the member secretary of the committee.
The committee has been named as the NTA (National Testing Agency) Coordination Committee. The NTA has been assigned the task of conducting the CUCET for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Admission To DU Based on CUCET
This year, admissions to the university will be done through the CUCET. Like every year, NTA is the main body that is given the charge for holding CUCET for admissions to various Central Universities. Following the steps of DU, even Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU has decided to have CUCET 2022 for admissions, in place of the old JNUEE.
Till last year, the admissions were done on the basis of cut-off marks for a majority of the undergraduate courses, while for postgraduate courses, there were entrance exams.
JNU Admissions for 2022 through CUCET
After DU, JNU has accepted the idea of holding this exam as and when National Testing Agency plans. After DU's change in the admissions system, JNU Admissions for 2022 will also be done through Common Universities Entrance Test, CUCET.

Earlier, in a meeting held on 12th January 2022, the JNU's Academic Council has discussed the modalities of implementing CUCET or CUET and has finally released an official notice informing everyone it. Before this change, the University was known for its entrance exam or JNUEE that was conducted for admissions to various courses.
