
DU SOL November 2019 Exams Rescheduled: Delhi University’s School of Open Learning has rescheduled the November 2019 exam to May 2020 as per the latest update. Going by the latest update, DU SOL November Exam 2019 has been rescheduled in line with the Delhi High Court order which asked the varsity to hold annual exam. Earlier, DU SOL Exam 2019 were planned to be held in Bi-Annual Mode but the Delhi HC had ordered revocation and of the same and ordered Delhi University to hold exams annually for the first year students of DU SOL 2019.
Earlier, the Delhi University’s School of Open Learning had also released an examination datesheet which confirmed that the November 2019 session of DU SOL Exam 2019 for the first year students would begin from 27th November 2019. However, following the order of Delhi High Court, the same has been postponed or delayed until May 2020.
Delhi HC order in response to Students’ Petition
The Delhi High Court issued directions to the Delhi University School of Open Learning to not move to bi-annual exam system in response to a petition filed by the undergraduate students from the DU SOL. The petition urged the High Court to put a stay and demanded that University should roll-back the CBCS semester scheme for academic sessions 2019-20, which was introduced earlier in the year. Following the order of the High Court, DU SOL has decided to conduct only a single exam for 2019-20 session in May 2020. Along with ordering roll-back of bi-annual semester system based exams, the Court has also directed DU SOL to address students’ grievances related to infrastructure required for the implementation of CBCS properly before holding bi-annual semester exams.
DU SOL Forms Committee to Help Students
Following the direction by Delhi High Court, on 22nd November 2019, the DU’s SOL issued a circular confirming formation of a committee to help resolve students queries and grievances regarding the introduction of CBCS system properly. The committee consists of few administrative personal whom students can reach out to get better clarity regarding the CBCS exam system. The circular also mentions email id solgrievances2019-20@sol-du.ac.in, where students can submit their queries regarding the semester based examination system.
