International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is one of the most popular English proficiency test taken by students aspiring to move to foreign countries for pursuing academics or for professional growth. The exam has however undergone certain changes effective from April 1, 2019, onwards. Certain modifications have been made to the IELTS registration fee and mode of the exam.
Revised IELTS Registration Fee
The registration fee for both Academic and General Training Modules of IELTS exam has now been revised from INR 12,650 to INR 13,250. The revised registration fee of INR 13,250 is applicable for both paper-based and computer-based IELTS test. - Credit/ Debit Card (Visa or Master) and Netbanking
- Demand Draft
- Bank deposit - Candidates can deposit cash in enlisted bank branches through a customized deposit slip that can either be downloaded from the official website or obtained from the nearest official branch office/ referral partner.
Revised IELTS Mode of Exam
The major change to be introduced in the IELTS exam is the change in the mode of the exam. Candidates can now also opt for the computer-delivered exam like other English profanely test. However, the paper-based exam still exists, aspirants now have the choice between paper-based and computer-based entrance exam. If a candidate opts for the computer-based exam, then he/she will appear for Listening, Reading and Writing tests on a computer and the Speaking Test will be conducted in a face to face session similar to the paper-based exam. Also, the results for the computer-based IELTS exam will be declared 5-7 days after the date of the IELTS exam.
