IIT Bombay Placements 2020: 153 Pre-Placement Offers Accepted

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay has begun the placement drive for the students of the institute. In the first session conducted on Day 1, the institute saw the participation of 18 companies for the placements. The highest offers for the domestic jobs were made by Microsoft, Google, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Boston consulting Group, Apple, Bain, and Company while the highest offers under international offers were made by Optiver. 

Until now 153 Pre-Placement Offers were accepted by the students which is higher than the offers made in the previous year. According to an official statement released, the regular recruiters have shown faith in the institute and the institute is looking forward to more offers from the companies. Most of the hiring was conducted by IT/Software, Core Engineering, and Consulting firms. 

Salary Package offered

According to reports, the highest salary package offered to the students was from Qualcomm (Rs. 46.41LPA), WorldQuant (Rs. 39.70 LP), Morgan Stanley (Rs. 37.25 LPA), Uber (Rs.35.38 LPA). The highest international offer made to the students during the placement was from Ptiver (Rs. 1.57 EUR/Anum)

Placement drives are being conducted across different IITs in the country. As per reports, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee conducted the first session of the placements for the students on December 1, 2020. 

IIT Madras Placement

The institute conducted the first session of its placement drive with 123 total offers made from 22 different companies including Texas Instruments, Bajaj Auto, Microsoft, etc 256 companies will be conducting the recruitment for 472 profiles.

IIT Roorkee Placements

IIT Roork also conducted its first session placement drive on Day one with roughly 272 students being offered jobs among which 3 students were offered jobs from international organizations.

The placement drive is being conducted for the students in the online or virtual mode due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown by following the guidelines
