IIT Delhi Launches MA Programme In Culture, Society and Thought, Registration From March 20

IIT Delhi News: The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Delhi) has launched Master of Arts in Culture, Society and Thought. Eligible candidates can visit the official website - ecampus.iitd.ac.in and fill out the application form from March 20, 2024. 

IIT Delhi’s MA programme will be a 2-year course that will focus on the thematic of culture, society, and thought through the core disciplines of sociology, literature, and philosophy. The last date to register for the mentioned courses is April 4, 2024.

IIT Delhi MA Programme: Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with a bachelor's degree in any subject and a minimum of 55% score or an equivalent CGPA in BA and first division for all other degrees are eligible to apply. Candidates need to qualify the entrance exam or the GATE 2024 score is used to shortlist applicants for admission. The shortlisted candidates will then be interviewed in May 2024.

Step 2: Click on the MA programme registration link

Step 3: Fill out the application form including your personal and educational qualifications

Step 4: Upload the required documents

Step 5: Pay the application fee to complete the registration process

Step 6: Download and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference

IIT Delhi MA Programme Details

The head of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, at IIT Delhi, Farhana Ibrahim stated that the new MA program explores aspects of contemporaneity and interdisciplinarity across disciplines in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The MA programme intends to prepare students for a wide range of careers, including politics, think tanks, social work, research, and academia. Moreover, programme graduates will also be qualified to enroll in PhD programs provided by IIT Delhi's Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. 

IIT Delhi: Open House on March 15

The academic year for the MA programmes will commence in July 2024. IIT Delhi will also host an open house on March 15, 2024, to discuss the programme's structure, fees, professors, accommodation, scholarships, and opportunities for academic and career prospects.
