
NTPC Electron National 2019 Quiz: The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has won the prestigious NTPC Electron National Quiz 2019. The second and the third positions were bagged by Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial University, Lucknow and BITS Pilani, Goa, respectively. The multi-level quiz saw participation from the top engineering colleges of the country.
The top three teams were honoured with certificates and prize money of Rs. 50,000 Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively. The prizes were awarded by Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR) NTPC and Shri Prakash Tiwari, Directors (Operations), NTPC. The winners were awarded at NTPC, PMI, Noida campus on 15th October 2019. The award ceremony was also attended by the senior officials of the company.
The NTPC Electron National 2019 Quiz saw an intense competition with teams competing for the title till the end. The team from IIT Madras included G. Pranav Hari & Rahul Humayun who won the title of NTPC Electron National Finale 2019 with a leading score of 94. The second position secured by the team representing Shri Ram Swaroop Memorial University, Lucknow included Anuj Shukla and Utkarsh Verma with a score of 59 while the BITS Pilani, Goa team which came in 3rd comprises of members Lucky Kaul and Shiv Kumar who scored 55.
NTPC Electron quiz had generated a lot of interest amongst the students this year and has seen an overwhelming response from across cities in India. A total of 566 teams comprising 1132 students participated in the contest. The quiz started in Patna on 14th September 2019. Students from engineering and business schools across six locations at Mumbai, Hyderabad, Noida, Lucknow and Kolkata were seen participating.
The quiz was started in the year 2004 and since then it has connected with young minds with an objective to develop a healthy learning and development culture. NTPC is committed to introducing a new perspective on quizzing that is a non-conventional, yet powerful learning tool for the Indian youth.
