IIT Madras and IIT Dharwad Sign MoU To Boost Education, Research and Entrepreneurship

Indian Institute of Management, Madras and Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad, have come together to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, to enhance and encourage collaboration in education, research and entrepreneurship. The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Education Minister, Pralhad Joshi, and the aim is to foster academic engagement and encourage innovation between the two premier universities.
Education Minister, Pralhad Joshi congratulated the institutes and stated that the new avenue will pave the way enhanced collaboration in IIT system and serve as model for other IITs in the country for shared education resources, research initiatives, and innovation projects. IIT Madras and IIT Dharwad Partnership: Key Details
- The agreement between IIT Madras and Dharwad provides for faculty and student exchanges, shared laboratories, libraries and joint workship and research projects. The key details include:

Parlhad Joshi at the event said, "Knowledge grows when it is shared. When capabilities are combined, more research can be undertaken. When partner institutions work together, innovation gains momentum.”
He also added, “Though IIT Dharwad is one of our newer IITs, it is steadily strengthening its academic and research capabilities.”, while calling IITs as India’s strongest knowledge centres.
