
JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Day Guidelines: With JEE Advanced 2021 exam scheduled to be held on 3rd October, the exam conducting institute i.e. IIT Kharagpur has announced Exam Day Guidelines that are to be followed by candidates as well as exam invigilators and other staff members. As JEE Advanced 2021 exam is being held amid looming threat of 3rd wave of COVID-19, strict protocols and guidelines have been issued by the exam agency to ensure safety of the candidates, exam invigilators and other staff members. The guidelines mention that adequate measures will be implemented for the safety of all and this will be done in a way that doesn’t impact the high standards, sanctity, and fairness of the examination.

General Guidelines for the Exam Centre
Exam Centre to meet Hygiene Standards: All designated exam centres that will be hosting candidates for IIT JEE Advanced 2021 exam which is going to be held on 3rd October 2021, will have to follow and confirm to the Standard Operating Procedures and safety precautions and for maintaining required standards of hygiene
- Sanitization of Premises and Devices: Before the start of the exam session, the seating area is to be thoroughly sanitized; including all devices which will be used by candidates i.e. monitor, keyboard, mouse, webcam, desk and the chair. All door handles, staircase railing, lift buttons, etc.
- Sanitization, Hand washing Provisions: To help candidates follow proper hand hygiene, hand washing station and sanitization stations are to be provided at all entry, exit and other important points
- Barcode Readers: Exam Centres are advised to make barcode readers available at entry points using which the barcode provided on the JEE Advanced admit card can be scanned. Based on the barcode reading, the candidates are to be provided details about lab/hall/room number where they would be appearing for the exam.
- Scribble Pads and Hand Gloves: Candidates should be provided a scribble pad at their desk. All exam invigilators should be provided hand gloves to ensure hygiene
Exam-Day instructions for Candidates
- Wearing of Face Masks: All candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2021 are required to wear face masks when they are inside the exam centre
- Sanitizers and Water Bottles: Candidates are allowed to carry their own bottle of hand sanitizer as well as their own transparent bottle of water.
- Self-Declaration Form: At the entry point, exam invigilators are required to check self-declaration form (undertaking) provided along with the JEE Advanced 2021 admit card. Both, exam hall ticket and self-declaration forms are required to be submitted to the invigilator.
- Thermal Check: All candidates are expected to undergo thermal checking for measurement of their body temperature.
- Attendance Marking: Students have to mark their attendance in each of the papers by signing in beside their name in the space provided on the roll list.
