The four-day-long cultural and literary event of KVS ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv’ culminated with a Prize Distribution ceremony in a grand cultural evening. The final day was graced by Sh. Ram Chandra Meena, Joint Secretary, MHRD and Ms. LS Changson, Joint Secretary, MHRD as Guests of Honour. Shri Amit Khare, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
Khare, an alumnus of KV Ranchi, hailed the efforts of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in making this mega event possible. In his address, he appealed to all the students to imbibe the concept of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat and make it a part of their school and daily life. He also asked all Principals of Kendriya Vidyalayas to allot a special page in their annual school magazine for the same.
The theme for the final day was “Swachh Bharat” to promote awareness on clean and green environment. Students from KVS Gurugram region presented an outstanding exhibition on the theme. The festivities of the final day started with solo classical dance performances of selected participants from 25 KVS regions across the country. They presented gorgeous performances on Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi and Kathak. The singing competition which followed also saw participants presenting solo classical songs. The other events of the day included quiz competition and musical show presented by KVS teachers.
KVS Kolkata Region bagged the first position as the overall winner under Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat category, while Bengaluru stood first in the category of Language of LitFest. KVS Bhopal Region got the first position in the Display of Artefacts or Exhibition. A total number of 28 events were organized during the Parv.
The four-day mega event was by Union HRD Minister Sh. Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on 31st October 2019. U.N. Khaware, Additional Commissioner, (Acad), KVS (HQ) concluded the occasion with a vote of thanks.
