Maharashtra College Reopening Decision Soon: With Schools reopening from 24th January – Monday, a common question in the students’ group across the state has been When will colleges and universities reopen for offline classes? To address this concern among students and parents, Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has given a very important update about possible Reopening of Maharashtra College Soon. Mr Samant has informed that a proposal with details about reopening of colleges, universities and higher education institutions in the state has been sent to Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray for his approval.

The clarification from Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister came after several students and some key stakeholders also reached out to him with concerns about educational loss. With on clear update from the state government about reopening of colleges for physical classes, students, parents and academic experts had expressed their concerns about academic loss being incurred by the students. Addressing this, Mr Samant took to twitter to inform that a proposal for resumption of offline classes for colleges and higher education institution has been prepared and shared with CMO for approval.
In a tweet sent from his account, Mr Samant noted that “A proposal has been sent to the Chief Minister Uddhav Saheb Thackeray to start colleges offline,” he tweeted. The decision, which is expected to come soon, will be made after the CM has approved the proposal sent by the Department of Higher and technical Education.” With the proposal already submitted, the final decision on the matter of reopening of Maharashtra Colleges and Universities will now be taken by Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray.
