PM To Launch IIM Bodh Gaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the permanent campus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya today, February 20, 2024. The Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Samrat Chaudhary will accompany PM Modi for the event.
IIM Bodh Gaya was established in 2015 under the Ministry of Education. About 30 students comprised the inaugural batch of the institution. As per the press release issued, over 1,110 students from 293 cities and 26 states have enrolled in the institute. IIM Bodh Gaya continues to fulfill its commitment to academic excellence and inclusive learning. Female students comprise more than 31.67% of the entire student body.
Facilities Provided At IIM Bodh Gaya
The permanent campus of IIM Bodh Gaya features state-of-the-art smart classrooms to make learning interesting for students. The institute also has a new library named ‘Pragyata’ which consists of Open Source Software to manage vast resources. Additionally, IIM Bodh Gaya includes a sports complex with modern gym facilities and provisions for various sports.
Students can explore sports such as badminton, basketball, football, and cricket for their holistic development. To make the hostel life healthy for students, millet-based cuisine is prepared for their nutritional development. Furthermore, the campus is equipped with a medical center, and four towers of the campus are dedicated to faculty and staff accommodation.
CSR Initiatives At IIM Bodh Gaya
IIM Bodh Gaya actively engages in activities such as Management Development Programs (MDP), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. IIM Bodh Gaya has trained over 3000 micro-entrepreneurs while supporting the cause of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat.’
Moreover, nearly 2000 administrative officers from institutions such as Bihar Police Academy have undergone training. This reflects the institute’s commitment to administrative excellence as well.
