Sanskrit Week 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon students and educational institutions to celebrate Sanskrit Week which start from today i.e. August 19 and will continue until 25th August 2021. During the week, PM Modi has asked students to promote and popularise the ancient language. The Sanskrit week is celebrated annually to honour the ancient language and bring it closer to the new generation and youngsters.
Education Minister shares PM’s Message on Sanskrit Week
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to social media platform twitter to share PM Modi’s message to the citizens on the occasion of the start of Sanskrit Week 2021. Sharing a tweet from his official account, Mr Pradhan noted that “On the occasion of Sanskrit week, let us all take a pledge to generate a new enthusiasm towards our rich cultural traditions and languages and to make Sanskrit accessible to the people easily.”
Technology Aids Growth in Popularity of Sanskrit: PM Modi
On the occasion of the start of the Sanskrit Week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the citizens saying that it is a matter of great honour and pride that the ancient language is now more accessible to the people. He also added that the modern technology and enabled more people to not only learn but also use Sanskrit and this has led to growth in its popularity across the globe. Prime Minister Modi has expressed confidence that the Sanskrit week between August 19 and August 25 will generate new interest and enthusiasm among the people and play an important role in the spread of the Sanskrit language.
