The UP Scholarship 2026-27 application process is currently open for students pursuing higher education under the Post-Matric Other Than Intermediate, or Dashmottar, category. Students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, ITI and other eligible courses can apply through the official Uttar Pradesh Scholarship and Fee Reimbursement portal at scholarship.up.gov.in.
The application schedule is different for fresh and renewal candidates. The fresh application window opened on September 15, 2026, and will remain open until October 31, while students applying for renewal have to complete their applications by October 15, 2026.
UP Scholarship 2026-27: Who Can Apply?
The Dashmottar scholarship is meant for eligible students studying after Class 12, including those pursuing graduation, postgraduation, diploma and ITI courses. The scheme covers eligible students from General, OBC, SC, ST and minority communities, subject to the conditions prescribed for their respective category.
Students should also check the applicable domicile, family-income, course and institutional eligibility conditions before submitting the form. Eligibility requirements can differ according to the scholarship category.

The Class 9–12 application window has already closed. At present, the Dashmottar category is the relevant open application window.
How To Apply For UP Scholarship 2026-27?
Students need to visit scholarship.up.gov.in and select the appropriate scholarship category. Applicants have to complete the required registration/OTR process, enter personal, academic, bank and institutional details, provide the required documents and submit the application.
After submission, applications go through institution-level verification and further scrutiny. Eligible and approved students receive the scholarship amount through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Documents Required For UP Scholarship
Students should keep their Aadhaar card, Aadhaar-linked mobile number, previous qualifying examination marksheet, income certificate, caste certificate where applicable, domicile/residence certificate, admission or enrolment details, fee receipt, bank account/passbook details, photograph and course and institution details ready. Renewal applicants should also keep their previous scholarship registration number.
Students should carefully match their name and other details across Aadhaar, academic records, bank account and scholarship form before submitting the application.
