VTU Semester Exams 2021: Visvesvaraya Technological University, has decided to postponed the VTU semester exams 2021 amid the lockdown in the state due to COVID-19. The semester exams were scheduled to start from today, 27 April 2021. The VTU University has also postponed the practical exams for diploma and engineering students. The Karnataka state announced the lockdown for the next 14 days starting from today. Earlier, Visvesvaraya Technological University had stated that it will continue VTU exams as per the schedule. Students who will miss the examination due to COVID-19 will be eligible to appear for the next semester. However, looking at the prevailing scenario, the university decided to postpone VTU exams 2021 to a later date.

Dr. Ashwathnarayan C. N, state education minister tweeted, “Engineering, Polytechnic and Diploma Practical Examinations have been postponed due to the implementation of 'Covid curfew'. The revised test schedule will be notified upon completion of the Corona Curfew. Request student and allies to cooperate with the decision”.
Also, the official notification from the Visvesvaraya Technological University states that “The examinations of Visvesvaraya Technological University to be conducted from April 27, 2021, and onwards stands postponed and rescheduled dates will be announced later”.
