The Chhattisgarh Pre-Medical Test is a state level examination and is also known as CG Vyapam PMT. The test is being conducted by the Chhattisgarh Directorate of Medical Education (CGDME).

The students who get through this examination can get admission in medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) courses or programs. The CGPMT courses are offered by various dental and medical colleges of Chhattisgarh.

The CGPMT consists of three papers which are of MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions) types.

CGPMT Admit Card

Admit card is one of the most important documents that a candidate should carry. All the applicants can download the admit card from the official website of the CGPMT after the formal notification from the board. If the past trends are to be believed then the board is likely to issue the admit cards in the month of July 2018.

The students must note that no candidate will get the admit card (via post) through any offline process.

The CGPMT admit card will contain all the information about the CGPMT such as examination venue, exam date and timings, candidates name and roll number.

The CGPMT admit card is the mandatory document for the students to carry with them to the examination hall.

CGPMT (NEET) Eligibility Criteria

The candidates may face difficulty during the admission process if they don’t check the eligibility criteria before applying. Applicants should first check whether they are eligible to apply for the course or not. Candidates who are Indian citizen or Non-resident Indians (NRI), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) card holders can apply for the courses. The minimum age of the applying candidate will be 17 and maximum he/she can apply till 25 years of their age.

Before filling the application form, the candidates can check their CGPMT exams eligibility criteria, nationality, age limit criteria, qualification criteria, etc given below:

The eligibility criteria for CGPMT 2018 are mentioned below:

  • The candidates should be Indian Nationals.
  • The candidates should have a domicile of Chhattisgarh state.
  • The candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry and biology subjects.
  • The students should have scored minimum 50% marks (for general candidates), 40% marks (for reserved categories) and 45% marks (for general PH candidates) in PCB group.
  • The candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018.

CGPMT (NEET) Exam Pattern

The candidates who are appearing for the examinations will have to complete their paper in the mentioned hours. As per the board law, extra time will not be provided to the candidates to complete the paper. A candidate will be asked objective type questions with multiple optional answers for each question.

Here are some of the guidelines:

  • The examination will be in OMR format.
  • There will be the total of 100 objective type questions.
  • The exam paper will be conducted in 2 different languages i.e. English and Hindi i.e. candidates have to choose for their suitable language.
  • There will be only one question paper.
  • For each correct answer, a candidate will be given 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking.
  • The question paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) as its main subjects.

NOTE: The above provided time is tentative and thus candidates are requested to check the details about the time on the official website of the CGPMT.

Declaration of results:

The board has till date not issued any specific date for the declaration of the results. However, the candidates can start checking the results from the month of August 2018.

Soon after the declaration of the results, the scorecards will be available on official website of CGPMT.

No individual score card will be issued to candidates. The result will be available in a PDF format.

CGPMT Application Form

The application form will be available online on the official portal of CGPMT. The application form for CGPMT will not be provided through offline mode. The application form will be available online from the second week of July 2018. The last date to submit the CGPMT application forms will be in the third week of July 2018.

A candidate can fill application form of CGPMT exams via official website of the CGPMT.

In the application form, a candidate will have to fill the following information:

  • Qualification code
  • Center of examination
  • Category, exam medium
  • Gender and Aadhaar number

The candidate must scan their passport size photo in a JPEG format. The size of the photo must be 4.5cm x 3.5cm memory should not exceed 200 Kbytes.

The detailed process for online or offline application form is given below:

  • Download the application form and take the printout of it.
  • The application form will be available from the second week of July 2018.
  • The candidates are required to fill all details in the application form carefully.
  • Paste a recent photograph in the application form.
  • Attach all the required documents like DD, qualifying exam certificates, etc. with the application form.

Application Fee

The candidates are required to pay Rs 300/- for the general category. For the OBC category, the candidates will have to pay Rs 250/-. If any candidate falls in these categories - SC/ST/PH then they have to pay Rs 200/-.

CGPMT Counseling

After the announcement of results, the selection process of CGPMT will start. The candidates will have to fill and submit the application form on official website of the CGPMT or other notified centres. The students will receive an acknowledgment card with registration number as a proof of form submission.

The admission will be done on the basis of candidate's marks in the entrance exams. The students who are appearing in the counseling have to bring all required documents for registration and verification. The candidates will be assigned the seats on the basis of merit list.

The counseling process will comprise of registration, online document verification, choice filling and locking, counseling and seat allotment. After the seat allotment, the students have to report to the allotted college with required documents and prescribed fees.
