Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory (APFSL) issued notification for recruitment of 19 Scientific Assistant -- Physical / Chemical / Biology-Serology and Laboratory Technician. Interested eligible candidates can apply online till 31 December 2012.

Application Fees: All applicants need to pay Rs. 100 as Application Processing Fee through AP Online or e-Seva or Payment Gateway.
Selection Process: Final selection would be done through a selection process comprising of
i. Candidates’ performance in the Written Exam;
ii. Weightage of Marks; and
iii. Candidates’ performance in the Interview.
The APFSL will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents before interview.
A) Written Examination: The two hour examination will have 160 multiple choice objective type questions based on the subject concerned. The maximum marks will be 40 marks.For Post Code Nos. 11, 12 and 13 the Question Paper will be in English only and for Post Code No. 14 the Question Paper will be in both English and Telugu Languages. The syllabus for written examination
a) For post code no. 11: Degree standard in Physics
b) For post code no. 12: Degree standard in Chemistry
c) For post code no. 13: Degree standard in Botany /Zoology/ Bio-Technology
B) For post code nos. 14: S.S.C. standard General Science
Candidates will be required to answer the questions on OMR sheet using Blue / Black Ball Point Pen only. For this purpose they should bring at least two blue / black ball point pens along with them.
Centres for the Written Examination:
The Written Examination will be held at Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Guntur, Kurnool, Karimnagar and Hyderabad.
B) Weightage: Weightage of three (3) marks for every completed six months of service subject to a maximum of 30 marks shall be given to the in-service candidates with experience of having worked / working in the A.P. Forensic Science Laboratory as per the G.O. Ms. No. 84 Home (Legal.II) Department dated 15-05-2012 appointed as per the
guidelines issued in the G.O. Rt. No. 1369 Home (Ser.I) Dept., dated 07-09-2004.
C) Interview: Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:2 with reference to the number of vacancies based on their total score in the written examination (40 marks) and Weightage (if any). Interview will carry a maximum of 30 marks.
The final selection will be strictly on relative merit of the candidates in each category, obtained by them based on their total score in the written examination (40 marks), Weightage (if any) and interview (30 marks) . If two or more candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate born earlier.
How to Apply: Eligible candidates can apply online till 31December 2012.
On successful submission of online application form, a reference ID number will be generated. Candidates should keep this reference ID number and printout of the online application form carefully for future correspondence and for Downloading Hall Ticket for the written examination.
Candidates applying for both Scientific Assistants and Laboratory Technicians should apply separately
Candidates applying for Scientific Assistants should select only one appropriate Post code i.e. 11 or 12 or 13 based on their eligibility of educational qualifications.
Candidates from Other State are not eligible to apply.
