Applications Being Invited From Indian Teachers for Fulbright Awards, To Be Held In US

The application for Fulbright Distinguished Awards 2014 in Teaching Program from school teachers of primary, middle and secondary school has been invited by United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF). November 20 is the last date of Application submission.

This program will fetch teachers from countries such as Chile, Israel, Singapore, Mexico, Finland, India and Morocco to the United States for one semester.
Library media specialists, Guidance counsellors, Curriculum specialists, Special education coordinators and Teacher trainers of both Primary and secondary level are also entitled to apply for this program. Other than this, the Administrators and academic coordinators spending minimum 50% of the time in classroom teaching can apply too, as mentioned in the release from the USIEF.

Based on the selection, the qualifying teachers will be positioned to a US host university's graduate school of education. The duration will be from mid-August till mid-December 2014. The host university shall put on offer a wide range of resources related to the expertise of teachers’ field.

The chosen teachers who will participate in the program will have to enrol in advanced undergraduate or graduate level module. The work throughout the one semester will cover projects, observe classes, seminars conduction or workshops in schools of nearby locality. They may hold other Academic/ teaching related activities as well.
