Bank of India announced final result for recruitment of 1800 Probationary Officers on 17 May 2012 on the basis of marks obtained in Common Written Examination (CWE) and interview held. A total of 1733 candidates were selected provisionally after interview and a separate list of 67 candidates is kept in abeyance due to non submission of conclusive documents for their eligibility.

The bank will soon issue Offer Letters to selected candidates within 20 working days. After receiving receipt of Offer Letter, successful candidates will be required to visit the designated centres, for completing pre-recruitment formalities and medical examination. The final joining of the candidates will be done subject to compliance of eligibility criteria and also on successful completion of pre-recruitment formalities.
The bank has also withheld candidates list whose result is kept in abeyance due to non submission of conclusive documents for their eligibility. These candidates are being advised separately by email to submit the required documents failing which they will not be considered for selection and their candidature will be cancelled.

The candidates are required to bring their original certificates, three sets of duly attested testimonials, photographs and other related papers to be produced at the time of joining.
Bank of India was founded on 7th September, 1906 by a group of eminent businessmen from Mumbai and was nationalised in July 1969. The Bank has 3752 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including specialized branches that are controlled through 50 Zonal Offices.
