SBI Clerk Exam Pattern
SBI Clerk examination will be divided into prelims and mains examinations. The Prelims examination will contain 100 questions of as many marks whereas the mains examination will be a 200-marks contest. The language proficiency test will be qualifying in nature. The prelims examination consists of reasoning ability, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. You will face questions from General Awareness and computer awareness apart from these three in the mains examination.
What are the right materials for SBI Clerk Examination?
Having understood the syllabus and subjects in the SBI Clerk examination, it is clear that there are basically four sections that you need to master to crack this examination – Reasoning ability, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, General Awareness and computer awareness.
The reasoning ability questions will be there in both the prelims and the mains examination. In prelims examination, it will bear 35 marks whereas for mains, 60 marks will be allotted to it. The number of questions in the prelims examination will be 35 and for mains, it will be 50. The syllabus will include:
Syllogism, analogy, blood relations, coding-decoding, seating arrangements, puzzle, ranking and order, direction sense, inequality, analytical reasoning, input-output, statement-conclusion and sentence-argument etc.

It is another section that will feature in both the prelims and the mains examination. In prelims examination, it will have 35 questions with as many marks allotted to it whereas for the mains examination, the marks allotted will be 50 for as many questions. The syllabus will include:
Data interpretation and data analysis, profit and loss, average, allegation, ratio and proportion, time and work, time and distance, time and work, pipe and cistern, inequality or quadratic equations, number series, partnership, simple and compound interest etc.

This section will also be there in both the prelims and the mains examinations. In prelims examination, there will be 30 questions with as many marks allotted to them and in the mains examination the number of questions will be 40 with as many marks allotted to the section. Reading Comprehension, error detection, fillers with one or two blanks, cloze test, idioms and phrases, paragraph jumbles, missing sentences, vocabulary questions, synonyms and antonyms, correct spelling, sentence completion etc.

This section will be there is the mains examination only with 50 marks allotted to it in as many questions. The section can be divided into static GK, Current affairs and banking awareness. The syllabus will include the following:
Current affairs of national and international importance for the last six months, countries and capitals, honors and awards, sports, international organizations, international monuments, world economy and Indian economy, abbreviations, financial terms, history of banking in India, important dams, stadiums, museums, airports, temples etc. in India
