In order to develop advance technology and provide more options in the field of technology, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Kanpur. The statement about the signing of MoU was issued by IIT on Saturday.
According to the release provided by IIT Kanpur it said, under the agreement by both the parties’ research would get conducted in various fields like, combustion, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and mechanical engineering. BHEL would provide its expertise to the students of IIT Kanpur, in order to develop cutting edge technology and explore newer possibilities in the segment of advanced technology.
The MoU got signed between the dean R&D IIT Kanpur, Prof Manindra Agarwal and Executive Director (R&D), BHEL Dr. Umakant Choudhury. In order to witness the signing of the memorandum of Understanding IIT Kanpur Director Prof. Indranil Manna and Director (R&D), BHEL T N Veeraghavan were also present.
According to Veeraghavan, “It will strengthen BHEL as IIT Kanpur is doing good work in the field of scientific electronics.” BHEL is also considering constituting a chair at this prestigious educational institution.
