BITSAT 2025 Exam Pattern- 12 Additional Questions in Question Paper

If the test-taker answers all 130 questions (without skipping any questions), they will get the option of attempting 12 extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra/additional questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology and Logical Reasoning only. Each section comprises three questions.

However, those who will opt for extra questions cannot go back for the correction of any of the earlier answered 130 questions. The questions are designed in a way that a good student can answer 130 questions within 180 minutes.

The extra questions (a maximum of 12) will give an opportunity to highly meritorious aspirants to score high marks. However, they must note that there is negative marking for incorrect answers. Any guesswork cannot be beneficial and may negatively affect the total score.

BITSAT 2025 Marking Scheme

The BITSAT 2025 exam pattern adheres to a simple and straightforward marking scheme. Typically, the BITSAT comprises objective-type questions. Each question has four answer options, only one of which is correct. Aspirants must remember that solving all the questions is not compulsory. While the test-takers can skip a question, the computer will not permit the test-takers to choose more than one option as the correct response. Check the detailed BITSAT 2025 marking scheme shared below:

  • Each correct answer carries 3 marks.
  • Each incorrect answer attracts a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark).
  • No marks are awarded for unattempted questions.

BITSAT marking scheme Formula: 3 x Total Number of Correct Answers- (1 x Total Number of Incorrect Answers)
