BSNL Careers 2016: BSNL is going to conduct online examination for recruiting Junior Engineers (erstwhile TTA). A total of 2700 posts are available for recruitment.
The BSNL jobs are available in all the territorial and functional circles of the organization. The Junior Engineer post is a circle based cadre and the candidates will be selected against the vacancies available in a particular circle. Therefore, before applying for the job, candidates should be thoroughly aware of the circle/ state wise vacancies available for the JE post.

Application procedure for the BSNL recruitment will begin on 10 July 2016. Candidates can submit their online application till 10 August 2016 along with application fee of Rs 1000 (Rs 500 for SC/ST candidates). Candidates with three years Engineering Diploma/ BTech/ BE in Telecommunications/ Electronics/ Electrical/ Radio/ Computer/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology OR BSc (Electronics)/ BSc (Computer Science) OR MSc (Electronics) can apply for the post. In addition to this, candidates must be more than 18 years and less than 30 years as on 10 August 2016. Age relaxation norms will be as per the standing instructions of Government of India.
Apart from the circle/ state wise vacancies candidates must be aware of the examination pattern and scheme. The online examination will be objective type and will carry a total of 200 marks. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. The examination will be of three hours duration (10.00 am to 01.00 pm). The examination will comprise of three papers: Paper I/ General ability test (20 marks), Paper II/ Basic Engineering (90 marks), Paper III / Specialization (90 marks). Candidates should note that the minimum qualifying marks in each of the paper will be 30% (OC category) and 20% (OBC/SC/ST category). The minimum qualifying marks in aggregate will be 40% (OC category) and 33% (OBC/SC/ST category).
