BSNL Gujarat Circle Recruitment of Junior Telecom Officer 2011

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (Gujarat) invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Junior Telecom Officers (Telecom) under Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

Junior Telecom Officer: 25 vacancies (PWD Locomotive Impairment 11, Hearing Impairment 14)

• Last date for sending application: 12 December 2011
• Date for written examination: 19 February 2012

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification (as on 31 December 2011): Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/ university namely Telecommunication/ Electronics/ Radio/ Computer/ Electrical/ IT (Information Technology)/ Instrumentation.

Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years. Relaxation as per rules laid by Government of India

Pay Scale: Rs 16400- 40500 with annual increment at 3% of basic pay plus HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, LTC etc. as admissible as per company rules

Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates will be done through Open Competitive Examination of three hours duration with one Question Paper containing the following three sections

• Part- I: Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-II: Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-III: General Ability Test (20 questions)

The Question Paper will be fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of paper in engineering subjects will be that of Engineering Examination of an Indian University.
