BSNL Maharashtra Telecom Circle Recruitment of Junior Telecom Officer 2011

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Maharashtra Telecom Circle, invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Junior Telecom Officers (Telecom) and Junior Telecom Officers (Electrical) under Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for Persons with Disabilities (PWD).

• Junior Telecom Officers (Electrical): 2 vacancies

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification (as on 31 December 2011)

• Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom): Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology or equivalent Engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/ university namely Telecommunication/ Electronics/ Radio/ Computer/ Electrical/ IT (Information Technology)/ Instrumentation. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31 December 2011.
• Junior Telecom Officers (Electrical): Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution/ University. Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply provided they possess the required educational qualification by 31 December 2011.

Age Limit: Maximum 30 years. Relaxation as per rules laid by Government of India

Pay Scale: Rs 16400- 40500 with annual increment at 3% of basic pay plus HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, LTC etc. as admissible as per company rules

Selection Procedure: The selection of candidates will be done through Open Competitive Examination of three hours duration with one Question Paper containing the following three sections

For JTO (Telecom)

• Part- I: Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-II: Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-III: General Ability Test (20 questions)

For JTO (Electrical)

• Part- I: Electrical Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-II: Electrical Engineering Stream (50 questions)
• Part-III: General Awareness (20 questions)

The Question Paper will be fully objective type with multiple options as answers to each question. The standard of paper in engineering subjects will be that of Engineering Examination of an Indian University.

How to Apply: The specimen of the application form is included in this advertisement. Neatly typed [only on one side of paper] copy in A 4 size [30 cms. X 20 cms.] may be used for making application. The completed application form should be sent by Registered post at DGM (HR & Admn), O/o. The CGM Telecom BSNL, Maharashtra Telecom Circle, Admn.Bldg, 3rd floor, B- Wing, Juhu Road, Santacruz (West), Mumbai - 400054.

The envelope containing application form should be marked "Application for J.T.Os (Telecom) Examination-2011 for PWD" OR "Application for J.T.Os (Electrical) Examination-2011 for PWD", as the case may be, in bold letters on top of the envelope.
