IIM-A has announced its admission policy for the selection process to be followed by them for the coming batch 2017-19. This year there are higher chances to get shortlisted as minimum percentile has been reduced to 80. Yes, you heard it right, even if you score as low as 80 percentile overall and 70 sectional percentile in CAT 2016 provided you have excellent academic record.

It should be noted that only those candidates who have scored above the following minimum cut-offs in the sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and obtaining a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT-2016 will be considered for all the subsequent stages.
Last year the minimum cut-off set by IIM-A was 90 percentile rank for the General Category students. This year the percentile has been reduced to 80 percentile rank.
