CBSE All Set to Introduce Project Work for History Course

May 8, 2013 18:32 IST

The Central Board of Secondary Education is soon introducing  project work for History as a part of the course work for students from 2013 onwards.

The projects will provide context, and the board decided to make them a part of the regular studies as it will prove to be a help in developing the higher order skills.

As per the new structure, twenty percent weight age will be assigned to project work for History which will include subjects like ‘town planning and artefacts of the Harappan civilization’ to the ‘understanding the Bhakti-Sufi movement in India’.

The Board has also asked the schools to ensure that the project work is assigned to students in groups.
