The central board of secondary education (CBSE) is planning to train its teachers for online laboratories, more popularly known as ‘OLabs’. CBSE is in favor of online laboratories as they provide a safe environment to children and 24*& access.
Students can any time log on to the website www.onlabs.co.in and conduct almost any experiment with the danger of any accident. ERNET, an autonomous scientific body is helping CBSE to train the teachers. ERNET is controlled by department of information technology, Government of India which has one of the largest nationwide terrestrial and satellite network with 15 points of presence located at the premier academic and research institutions in major cities of the country. As per ERNET’s, website will serve more than 1300 institutes in various sectors like health, agriculture, higher education, schools, and science & technology.
