Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) invited applications for recruitment of various jobs 2013 on deputation on Foreign Service terms/ short-term contract basis from the employees of Central/State Governments, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies etc. The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 21 October 2013. CERC was constituted on 24 July 1998 under the Ministry of Power’s Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 for rationalization of electricity tariffs, transparent policies regarding subsidies, promotion of efficient and environmentally benign policies, and for matters connected Electricity Tariff regulation.

- Deputy Chief (Engg.): Graduate Degree in Engineering with a relaxation to Diploma in Engineering for members of the Central Power Engineering (Group ‘A’) Services promoted from feeder service.
- Deputy Chief (Finance): MBA in Finance or Certified Chartered Account or Certified Cost Accountant preferably with Engineering Degree
- Assistant Secretary (Forum of Regulators): Graduate Degree with PG Diploma in Financial Management.
- Assistant Chief (Regulatory Affairs): MBA in Finance or Post Graduate in Law or Engineering or Regulation.
- Assistant Secretary ( P&A): Graduate Degree
- Assistant Chief (Engg.): Graduate Degree in Engineering with a relaxation to Diploma in Engineering for members of the Central Power Engineering (group ‘A’) Services promoted from feeder service.
