Charles Wallace India Trust Translation Fellowships offers Translators from India the opportunity to spend two months at the University of East Anglia (UEA) and work on a Translation project of their choice. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for this well established residency programme which has been offered by the British Centre for Literary Translation (BCLT).
Two Fellowships are offered each year and the successful applicants will be in residence at the British Centre for Literary Translation from 1 March - 30 April 2012.

Salient Features of the Scholarship
- A contribution towards travel costs to be paid by CWIT
- CWIT will also pay a stipend to cover accommodation and subsistence expenses
- Opportunities to lead seminars for post-graduate students, present papers and talk about work in progress
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should satisfy the following conditions
- Be an Indian citizen, domiciled and resident
- Have completed university-level education in the field of literature or have between five and seven years of professional experience
- Have not been given a Charles Wallace India Trust grant within the previous five years
