The PUC or the Class 12th board Examinations is held under the Department of Pre-University Education. The recorded count of the students this year is near to 6 lakhs out of which 1.7 lakh hailed from Science, 2.5 from Arts/Humanities and 2 lakh from the Commerce stream to write this Karnatka 2nd PUC Exam 2014
The student must pass the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam or commonly known as Class 10th examination. Students from all the schools and from all the study streams sit for this examination.
The exam of PUC is compulsory for all the Commerce, science and Arts/Humanities students and is also a minimum eligibility criteria for most undergraduate and degree programmes for pursuing higher education. This year the exams started on 12 March 2014 and completed on 27 March 2014.
In the results of 2nd PU examination results 2013, the highest pass percentage stood at 87 % percent, while recorded the lowest pass percentage as 48.93 % percent.

It has been said that this year more than 63,000 teachers of the high schools were given the responsibility to evaluate the answer sheet of the 6 lakhs examinees. If any student couldn't get through in 1 or 2 subjects then he or she can sit in the supplementary or the compartment exam which will be organized by the Karnataka board in the month of June or July. The date will most probably announce soon after the declaration of the results tomorrow and candidate must deposit re-appearing application and fees at earliest.
