Chhattisgarh PCS Main: Wildlife Sanctuaries

    The protection of the wildlife and the forest is emerging as the foremost challenge in the policy matters. The balance between the Development and the Conservation of the state as well as the nation is the question of long term strategy and the short term development objectives.

    The Ecological and the Development Balancing issues are taking the driving seat in Policy Making and hence is of great importance. The concept of sustainable development is echoed at each and every platform and is an international issue now. The monitoring of the Wildlife and Forest has been done by the Satellite because they have acquired a renewed interest of the whole Humanity.

    Chhattisgarh state is a newly carved out on 1 November 2000 and has a great responsibility of Development and the conservation of forest because majority of its population is tribal and is deeply rooted culture connected with the forests.

    Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary, Sitanadi Sanctuary, , Udanti Sanctuary,  Pameda Wildlife Sanctuary, Badalkhol Wildlife Sanctuary, Guru Ghasidas National Park, Bhoramdeo Sanctuary, Achanakmar Wildlife Sanctuary are some of the wildlife Sanctuaries  and National Parks.
