GS Paper 2 of IAS Prelims 2012 popularly referred as CSAT paper included questions on reasoning, comprehension and mental ability.

The total number of questions asked in the paper was 80. Although the paper was a bit lengthy, it was easy to solve.  The comprehension section was designed in a way so that it could test the ability of students to grasp and understand the situation. The section included science and environment topics as well as humanitarian ones.

The best approach to solve this paper is that the candidates should do some practice before attempting to solve this in the examination hall. The CSAT paper doesn’t demand in-depth knowledge of mathematics or reasoning. Therefore, one should not panic while facing the CSAT paper.
