Eligibility Criteria for JRF, RA & PA Posts 2016

Educational Qualification

• Project Assistant-I: B.Sc. in Chemistry/Diploma in Ceramics with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA.
• Research Associate-I: PhD (Science i.e, Physics/Chemistry)/Engineering (i.e., in Mechanical Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering/Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Bio-medical Engineering/Ceramic Engineering/Materials Engineering)/Tech. (i.e., in Materials Technology/Ceramic Technology/Nanotechnology) or equivalent degree or having at least 3 years of research/teaching/design/development experience after M.E/M.Tech (i.e., in Mechanical Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/ Metallurgical and Materials Engineering/Ceramic Engineering/Nano Science and Technology/ Bio-medical Engineering/Ceramic Engineering/Materials Engineering/Nanotechnology) with at least one research paper in the SCI Journal. It will be highly preferred if the candidate has some experience in nanomechanical testing especially nanoindentation and nano-tribology of thin films, bulk materials, composites, coatings etc. as well as in evaluation of micro/nano mechanical properties with some illustrative proof of expertise.
• Project Assistant-II: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical) with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA Or B.E/B.Tech. in Ceramic/Polymer/Materials Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA.
• Project Assistant –II: M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical)/ Electronics/ Optics/ Photonics with at least 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA Or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Ceramic/ Metallurgy/ Materials/ Production/Laser Science/Tech or equivalent/ Nanotechnology/ Nanoscience/ Tech/ Nanoengineering or equivalent/Optics/Photonics Engg./Tech. With minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA/DGPA
• Project Assistant –III: M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry (Inorganic/Physical)/ Electronics/ Optics/ Photonics with at least 55% marks or equivalent with 2 years experience Or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Ceramic/Metallurgy and /or Materials Engg./Production/Laser Science/Tech or equivalent/ Nanotechnology/Nanoscience/Tech/Nanoengineering or equivalent/Optics/Photonics Engg./Tech.
