After rigorous preparations, it is the time to think how to manage and organise your day before the examination, as CTET 2016 exam is ahead (Central board of secondary Education has already notified the date of examination of CTET to be held in February 2016). So, now you are all set, if your exam is just next day, it may be a stressful time. The competitive exams are all about how well you can manage the stress and still perform. So, candidates also need a proper strategy and mind set before walking into the exam hall. Everybody has his/her own ways and strategies. The current article provides some last minute tips/guidelines for competitive exams.

1.Undue stress at the last time can be your biggest enemy which may negatively impact your performance. So, be motivated but stress-free and just stay calm.Stress is a natural phenomenon, but up to a level and you may have your ways to control it. You can spend some time for relaxing. Find a friend or family member whom you can talk about the things that stress you out. Also, visualize a successful experience to avoid stress.

2.It is important to take care of yourself for your brain to function at its best on test day. It is important to be well rested. Make sure to get a good night's sleep before the test to perform at your best.Don't abruptly change your diet right before the test. Take regular, light and healthy food.

3.Be confident before the exam. If you are well prepared for the exam you will have confidence. It is also related to the stress. Your confidence/good preparations will remove the stress.

4.Revision is necessary at the last minute. A wise student will have his own prepared notes on all subjects. Revise you note before the examination. Go through the formulas and tricks again. Revise notes to just brush up on your points.Remember to take breaks between your revisions to study better and do a lot more revision.

5.Don’t go for a new or unknown topic just before the exam. Avoid heavy preparations at the last moment, you may get mixed up and build up undue stress which, again, is not what you would want to do.

6.You need the time to study, so, don't let yourself be distracted by anything. Don't chat with your friends while studying; try to avoid noise during the study.

7.Most importantly, be positive, be focussed and believe in yourself. You had prepared strategically and have put in a lot of hard work. You will perform well in the exam and the day will be yours.

So, get plenty of rest the night before, good sleep is necessary. Eat a healthy and light meal. Get to the exam room with time to spare, get settled in and have time to relax before the test starts. Time management and planning to solve the question paper is very important to succeed in any exam, so, don’t waste your time on a question which is not known to you; switch to next question and attempt it at last. Also, one should read the statements of choices carefully before writing the correct option in the box. For managing speed, attempt easier questions first and mark the tougher ones for the later time. If time permits, revise the answers. Always remember that a judicious mix of 'hard work', ‘dedication’ and 'right strategy' can be helpful to achieve your goal. Best of luck!
