Delhi University released the fifth cut off list on 10 July 2012. Almost thirty six colleges have already closed their shutters for B Com (hons) giving commerce aspirants enough reasons to worry.
Colleges such as Lady Shri Ram, Kirorimal and Hindu introduced a dip in their cut off’s for B Com (hons) up to 0.5% in the prior cut off list. The most interesting landmark in Delhi University admissions this year is, SRCC after a long spell have come up with their second cut off list for general category candidates.
Delhi university had a spectacular marathon this year starting from the first cut off list, which came out on 26 June 2012, to the fifth cut off that was declared today, 10 July 2012. The Fifth list has generally catered to the OBC students. Though the seats for OBC quota is still on a roll, the percentage has hardly come down by a few notches, giving the parents and teachers a reason to worry.
IP College is still running in the race with Economics (Hons) course open with cut-offs in the range of 95.25 to 94.25 per cent and its B.Com. (Hons) open at 95 per cent. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharam College still has its B.Com. course open with 91.75 to 88.25 per cent. PGDAV evening college also has its B.Com. open with 84 to 81 per cent.Amongst the South Campus colleges, Sri Venkateswara College has its B.Com. (Hons) intact with 95.75 per cent, B.Com. with 93.75 per cent and B.A. with 88 to 78 per cent.
Surprisingly, admission to B Com (hons) course was still open in Hindu college for general category at a cut off of 86. 75 to 88.75 per cent. The course is still open for general category students in IP college, Jesus & Mary college as well as Kirorimal college. Economics (hons) was also open in IP college and Kirorimal college.
