Dena Bank announced recruitment of 500 General Banking Officers in Scale-I (Probationary Officers) on 28 March 2012. The recruitment process of the bank will start from 28 March 2012 and will end on 12 April 2012.
Candidates who have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Government of India and possess a valid IBPS Score can apply for the post. The Total Weighted Score (TWS) required from General Category candidates is 130 and score for Reserved Category (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD) candidates is 125.
Dena Bank was founded on 26 May 1938 by the family of Devkaran Nanjee under the name Devkaran Nanjee Banking Company Ltd. It became a Public Ltd. Company in December 1939 and later the name was changed to Dena Bank Ltd. It is one among six Public Sector Banks selected by the World Bank for sanctioning a loan of Rs 72.3 crores for augmentation of Tier-II Capital under Financial Sector Developmental project in the year 1995.
