Subjects such as percentage, HCF and LMF of numbers, ratio and proportion, time distance and speed, linear equations, Volume and Surface area, Geometry, Data interpretation ETC are asked in this segment. Questions worth forty marks are asked in the examination from this segment
Reasoning: This section tests the Reasoning Abilities and mental aptitude of the student. This section is thoroughly divided into verbal and non-verbal reasoning. In verbal reasoning, questions on topics such as Forcefulness of Argument, Courses of Action, Input-Output, Analogy, Assertion and Reason, Clock are asked. In the non verbal reasoning, questions on topics such as Classification, Incomplete Patterns, Grouping, Cubes and Dices are asked. Questions worth forty marks are asked in the examination from this segment
Computer Aptitude/ Marketing Aptitude: Computer Knowledge section engulfs questions on the basic operating system, questions on the Microsoft word package – Microsoft word, excel, power points and internet. Marketing Aptitude asks the basic questions on the marketing model. Questions worth forty marks are asked in the examination from this segment
English Comprehension: This section tests the language abilities and understanding of English grammar of the student. This section consists of questions on Passage Comprehension, Synonyms, Error Detection, Idoms & Phrases, Spellings Test, Cloze Passages, Active/Passive Voice, Para-Jumbled, Words Usage ETC. Questions worth forty marks are asked in the examination from this segment
The above tests except the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition are printed bilingually, that is, English and Hindi.
The examination also thrives on negative marking meaning with ever wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.
