Doon University, Dehradun Notified Admission for Various Programmes (2014-15)

Doon University, Dehradun invited applications for admission to various programmes for the session 2014-15. The entrance test for the courses will be held on 8 June 2014. Interested candidates can apply through prescribed format on or before 2 June 2014. Doon University was established by an Act of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly in October 2005.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor (Hons) / Master in Communication: 12th passed in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• Bachelor/ Master in Business Administration (MBA): 12th passed in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• Bachelor (Hons) /M.A in Chinese/ Spanish/German/ Japanese/ French/ Arabic languages: 12th passed in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• Bachelor (Hons)/ M.Sc. Economics: 12th passed in any subject with minimum 50% marks and background in quantitative techniques is desirable.
• BCA/ Master in Computer Application (MCA): 12th passed in mathematics with minimum 50% marks.
• M.Sc. Environmental Science (ES): Graduation in basic or applied sciences with minimum 50% marks.
• M.Sc. E.S. (specialization in NRM): Graduation in basic or applied sciences with minimum 50% marks.
• M.Tech Environmental Technology: M.Sc. in Environmental Science or basic or applied science with minimum 50% marks or B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, Biotechnology and allied Engineering disciplines.
• M.A. Communication: Graduate in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA): Graduate in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• M.A. Economics: Graduate in social sciences/ commerce with minimum 50% marks and background in quantitative techniques is desirable.
• M.A. Social Anthropology: Graduate in Humanities, Social Sciences, Biological Sciences and Geology with minimum 50% marks.
• M.A. Design in Communication (Film & Graphic Design): Graduate in any subject with minimum 50% marks.
• M.A English: Graduate in any stream of Arts, Social Sciences, Humanities with minimum 50% marks.
• M.Sc. Mathematics: Graduate with mathematics as one of the subject with minimum 50% marks.
• M. Phil. Economics: Masters degree with minimum 55% marks in Economics.
• Ph.D. Environmental Science: Masters degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent OGPA in Environmental Science or basic or applied science.
• Ph.D. in Communication: Masters degree in Mass Communication and Journalism with minimum 55% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Ph.D. in Management: MBA with minimum 55 percent marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Environment Impact Assessment (PGDEIA): Graduate in science and engineering disciplines with minimum 50% marks or equivalent OGPA.
• Health and Hospital Management (PGDHM): Graduation with minimum 50% marks in Medicine, AYUSH, Pharmacy, Nursing, Biotechnology, Science, Management, Economics and Social Science. Preference to medical and health professionals and staff involved in public health activities at the community, hospital, district or state level organizations/institutions, nominated by government, private, corporate organizations.
• Security Management: Graduation with minimum 50% marks.

• By Hand: On payment of Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for SC/ST candidates) in cash from i. University Counter, Kedarpur Campus, ii HDFC Bank, Ballupur Branch, iii. PNB Vidhan Sabha Marg Branch.    
• By Post: By sending a Demand Draft of Rs.650/- (Rs.350/- for SC/ST candidate) in favor of Doon University, payable at Dehradun.

2. The application form completed in all respects should be sent to the Deputy Registrar, Doon University, Kedarpur, P.O. Ajabpur, Dehradun- 248001.
