The Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) will conduct NET Examination 2012 on 24 February 2013 from 10 am to 12 noon. The test will be conducted at 33 centres across the nation for selecting candidates for determining eligibility for Lecturer/ Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs).

ASRB has already sent admission certificate via email, as mentioned by the candidates in the application form, for the exam. In case a candidate does not receive admission certificate, he/she can download the admission certificate from the ICAR’s website.

Candidates should note that they will not be admitted to the Test unless they hold the admission Certificate to the Test. Moreover, ICAR or ASRB cannot be held responsible for non-receipt of the Admission certificate.

The test will be conducted in 55 disciplines and will comprise of one paper of 150 marks consisting of 150 objective type multiple choice questions (from the respective discipline opted by the candidate) to be solved in 2 hours duration. The candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 60% marks (General/ OBC) and 50% (SC/ ST/ PH) to qualify this paper.

The minimum qualification to take the test remains Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with specialization. Besides this, number of attempts to clear the exam is restricted to 5 for all candidates (whether MSc/PhD) including the in-service candidates of ICAR.
