AS A BOON
A. Life at ease : Due to these life has come to so much of ease and comfort that can be imagined with a subtle example that even mobile phones today come with numerous features and applications like android, java games and internet connectivity and you can easily communicate, surf anything sitting back at home.
B. Options : The mobile phones have also been launched in numerous series by various companies like Nokia, Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola, LG, Micromax etc and that too in all ranges for all classes of people that today even a common auto driver also owns a mobile phone.
C. Ocean of Information: Internet today has become the biggest and broadest source of Information. With the help of search engines like Google, UC Web browser, Yahoo etc anything and everything can be easily found just with the help of a click. The most beneficial of all, they help the students of all disciplines to study and become learned.
D. Connectivity: Mobile Phones as well as internet both have become a prime source of connectivity today. People chat on social networking sites like: Facebook, Twitter, G-Talk and WhatsApp, We chat and Hike messenger have become a trademark of today’s youth.
E. Enhanced Life Standard: With the help of such gadgets people have become much more advanced and revolutionized thereby enhancing their life standards. Today a person with a Blackberry mobile phone in his hand makes an altogether different impact on the society as compared to a person with a normal handset.
AS A NUISANCE
A. Exaggerated exposure: The mobile phones and internet along with their widespread usage and numerous applications have been overused and hence the level of their exposure has been really exaggerated, mostly in the youth.
B. Limitation of thoughts: Since every bit of information is already available on the internet people have put strict limitations to their thought process and rely heavily on the artificial source of information. The innovative thinking, the intellect level has seen a ceasefire in many young and dynamic people.
C. Creation of an artificial world within a real one: A hypothetical world has been created in which people remain reserved, aloof and isolated in their own restricted periphery with their smart phones and their apps. They rarely connect to the real world as they rarely get the time to do so.
D. Time: People have become used to these facilities that they don’t get any time even to spend with their family members and discuss matters. So, personal relations are getting adversely affected. Moreover, it kills a lot of time as addiction is fatal.
E. Wastage of money: One of the biggest nuisances is that people waste a lot of money unnecessarily upon the costlier mobile phones and gadgets likewise to maintain a status in the society. Even if a mobile phone worth Rs. 5000 can suffice their needs they go for much costlier ones just to get attention in the society..
Hence we can easily make out the fact that mobiles and internet have affected us, our lives and our society to a much greater extent with both constructive as well as destructive outcomes. It’s not that we don’t require these but as a matter of fact we all know that “Excess of everything is fatal and it leads to adverse outcomes.” So, looking into this fact, we must certainly use these but within such limitations that doesn’t prove to be going against us.
