Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Gandhinagar (GSBTM) invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow, Senior Research Fellow and Research Associate Posts. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 16 May 2016.

• Junior Research Fellow (Bioinformatics)-03 Posts
• Research Associate (Bioinformatics)-02 Posts
• Senior Research Fellow (Survey of State Biotech Academia and Industry)-02 Posts

Eligibility Criteria for GSBTM Junior Research Fellow and Other Jobs:

Educational Qualification:

• Junior Research Fellow (Gujarat Biodiversity Gene Bank or Gujarat Genomics Institute) -Minimum Post graduation in Biotechnology or any branch of life sciences/biological sciences or graduate degree in professional course in biotechnology or Post-Graduate degree in professional courses with Biotechnology or graduate degree in professional course with Biotech having 2 years of experience.
• Research Associate (Gujarat Biodiversity Gene Bank or Gujarat Genomics Institute) - Post-graduation in Biotechnology or any branch of life sciences/biological sciences with minimum 3 years of experience 
  or Ph.D. in Biotechnology or any branch of life sciences/biological sciences Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in NGS platform, Cryopreservation and Plant tissue culture streams
• Junior Research Fellow (Bioinformatics)- Minimum Post graduation in Biotechnology , Bioinformatics or graduate degree in engineering in biotechnology/ bioinformatics or Post-Graduate degree in professional courses with Biotechnology, Bioinformatics or graduate degree in engineering with Biotechnology, Bioinformatics having 2 years of experience. Preference will be given to the candidates having bioinformatics skills.
• Research Associate (Bioinformatics)- Post-graduation in Biotechnology /Bioinformatics with minimum 3 years of relevant project experience or Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in NGS data analysis and handling/development of bioinformatics tools/database
• Senior Research Fellow (Survey of State Biotech Academia and Industry)- Minimum Post graduation in Biotechnology or any branch of life sciences/biological sciences with two years of experience  or Graduate degree in professional courses with Biotechnology having 2 years of research experience or Post graduate degree in Professional course with Biotech
