IBPS has conducted the online examination for RRB officer scale I on 5, 6, 12 and 13 September successfully. The exam was conducted for 200 marks comprised of 200 questions with a time of 2 hours.
Pattern of Examination: The examination has five sections - Reasoning, Quantitative aptitude, General Awareness, English Language or Hindi Language and Computer Knowledge. In the examination there was be objective type of tests. The candidates shall be required to qualify in each section as per cut-off marks determined on the basis of performance in each section and also on total weighted score. Negative marking is applicable for the Objective Test. There were five alternatives in every question of a test. For every wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
Analysis of Examination: This exam was a bit difficult as compared to the previous year. If we analyze the examination section wise, we found that all the sections expect computer Knowledge were of high level as compared to previous year. It indicates that the level of this examination was high as compared to previous year. However the overall difficulty level of the examination was moderate.

Reasoning:
The level of difficulty was moderate for this section. Linear arrangement question was time consuming. It is also noticed that only 5 questions was asked from Analytical Reasoning (AR) and Data sufficiency topic was missing.

General Awareness
This year the question asked in this section was more centered on Current Affairs rather Banking Awareness while last year major question was asked from the special reference to banking industry. The quick revision of last 3 months current affairs was enough for this section. Some basic banking question was also asked.
Computer Knowledge
This was easy as compared to other sections. The questions asked from this section were related with basic introduction of computer, Input –Output device, internet, Memory, DBMS, Software application, Hardware and software etc.
Expected Cutoff marks: - As per our analysis and difficulty level of the examination, the following Cutoff marks are expected for different category.

Note: The candidates should note that the above cut offs may vary as it depends upon various factors hence, it is not possible to predict the exact cut off marks until IBPS declared it on its website. However, these cut off marks will be helpful to the aspirants in order to prepare for their next examination. The IBPS will announce cut off marks, when the process of selection is over.
