ICMR Notified Recruitment for 2 Posts under Health Research Scientist Cadre

Indian Council of Medical Research issued notification inviting applications for filling up 2 posts of Scientists under Health Research Scientist Cadre of ICMR Rules, 2007 for the Hqrs. Office. Interested candidates should send their applications till 27 February 2014.

Post No. 1

Scientist-C: One post (for the Division of ECD in the ICMR Hqrs. under Health Research Scientist Cadre)

Pay Band: Pay Band -3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600 + Non- Practicing Allowance &other admissible allowances.

Essential Qualification: MBBS or M.V. Sc degree OR Master’s Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology or any relevant life science subject OR M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology/ any related subject in Communicable Diseases with Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligent Tools/Data Management or Scientific Communication Skills (verbal & written).

Experience required:Four years R & D experience in Microbiology/Preventive and Social Medicine/Pediatrics/Public Health /Biotechnology/any area related to Communicable Diseases.

Note: MD or Ph. D degree in subjects relevant to ICMR shall be treated equivalent to three year’s experience. Candidate with MD/Ph. D will be preferred.

Post No. 2

Scientist-C: One post (for Bio Informatics Centre in the ICMR Hqrs. Under Health Research Scientist Cadre)
Pay Band: Pay Band -3 of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs. 6600 + other admissible allowances.
Essential Qualification&Experience required:BE/B.Tech degree in Computer Science with 2 year’s experience or equivalent degree OR Master Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree OR M.Sc. + Ph.D degree in Computer Science. Four years of R & D experience in Computer Science.

Age Limit: not exceed 40 years (as on 27 February 2014)
[Upper age limit is relax-able for SC/ST & OBC candidates & Government servants. One time age relaxation is also allowed to Scientists & Technical staffworking/worked in long term projects of ICMR Institutes/Centres as per HRSC Rules.]

Selection Procedure: Selectionwill be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the test / Interview.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the Interview.
The posts carry All India transfer Liability.

Travel Allowance: Outstation candidates called for interview will be paid 2nd Class rail fare to and fro by shortest route on production of documents.

Application fees:Application feeof Rs.100is to be paid through a crossed IPO drawn in favour of D.G., ICMR,New Delhi payable at New Delhi.
SC/ST/PH and women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
